About LivGemini

Experience the healthcare transformation

Our Approach

The name LivGemini derives from ‘Living Gemini’ and alludes to the concept of ‘Digital Twin’. At LivGemini, we believe that the future of healthcare lies in a deeper synergy between technology and clinical expertise. Rather than accepting conventional limitations, we challenge existing paradigms by harnessing Digital Twin technology to rethink how medical decisions are made.

Our Mission

Our mission is to revolutionize the cardiovascular field by introducing numerical simulation to support both medical device manufacturers and clinicians. By reducing reliance on costly and time-consuming physical testing, we accelerate the development of safer and more effective devices. In clinical practice, simulation can enhance diagnosis, optimize device selection and refine design procedures.

Our Vision

We envision a future where AI and simulation redefine healthcare, shifting from reactive treatments to proactive, data-driven interventions. As surgery moves towards a preventive approach, digital tools will become indispensable, allowing clinicians to virtually test a wide range of patient-specific scenarios before proceeding with treatment, ensuring greater precision, safety, and personalized care.

Our Team

Leonardo Geronzi

Founder, CEO

Leonardo Geronzi, featured in Forbes Italy’s Top Under 30 in the Science & Healthcare category, is a biomedical engineer with a European PhD from the H2020 project “MeDiTATe” on Medical Digital Twins for aneurysm treatment. The idea behind LivGemini was born during this research activity, and Leonardo brought with him a strong international network of researchers, clinicians and experts. He has worked with companies like Ansys and RBF Morph and has been active in the field of cardiovascular numerical simulation for about six years.

Andrea Baldini

Founder, Head of Software development

Andrea Baldini holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pisa. During his studies, he cultivated a robust background in software development, physiological signal modeling, statistical analysis and artificial intelligence. He then gained professional experience as a software engineer specializing in cybersecurity applications. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Andrea is the one who transformed the initial idea behind LivGemini into a functional prototype and then into a robust software platform.

Marco Evangelos Biancolini

Founder, Business Developer

Marco Evangelos Biancolini is an Associate Professor of Machine Design at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, Department of Enterprise Engineering, with a long-standing experience in technological transfer. He is also the founder of RBF Morph, a well-established company in the field of CAE modeling and simulation. He served as Principal Investigator of the H2020 ITN-EID project “MeDiTATe – Medical Digital Twins for Aneurysm Prevention and Treatment”, the research initiative from which LivGemini originated.

Gaia De Angelis

Quality and Regulatory Affairs Manager

Gaia De Angelis holds a Master’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Biomedical Sciences from the University of Rome Tor Vergata. She has developed a solid background in the healthcare sector, with a particular focus on regulatory frameworks, clinical research and quality assurance. At LivGemini, she leads Quality and Regulatory Affairs, overseeing CE marking processes and ISO certifications to ensure compliance and patient safety. Gaia is deeply passionate about innovation in healthcare and is committed to bridging scientific rigor with regulatory excellence to support the development of impactful medical technologies.
