We are proud to announce that LivGemini has been awarded the Life Sciences – Medtech Prize at the Premio Nazionale per l’Innovazione (PNI) 2023, the most important national competition for innovative startups born from universities and research centers across Italy.

The PNI brings together the top projects from all Italian regional StartCups, selecting those with the greatest potential to generate scientific impact, market disruption, and societal value. This year’s final, held in Milan and supported by the PNI and the Italian Association of University Incubators (PNICube), brought together over 60 finalists from across the country — and LivGemini stood out for its technological originality and relevance in the field of digital health.

At the heart of LivGemini is a software platform that combines in-silico simulation, AI-based anatomical modeling, and digital twins of the aorta to support clinicians in the planning and personalization of surgical interventions for aneurysms. By simulating how different vascular prostheses behave on a patient-specific anatomy, LivGemini enables safer, faster and more tailored decision-making — before the patient even enters the operating room.

Winning the PNI 2023 confirms the strength of our vision and the importance of our work at the intersection of engineering, medicine and artificial intelligence. It is a recognition of:
