Venus X Diagnosis: AI-powered software for supporting thoracic aortic aneurysm diagnosis
Venus X Diagnosis is LivGemini’s project to further develop and enhance Venus X, with a focus on diagnostic innovation, clinical validation and market readiness.
The project addresses the need for faster, more standardized and less operator-dependent aortic assessment. Venus X automatically reconstructs the patient-specific aorta in 3D and generates a structured report with key morphological parameters, including diameters, centerline length, tortuosity and aneurysmal volume.
Clinical value
The solution aims to reduce the time required for aortic measurements, improve repeatability and standardization, support longitudinal follow-up of aneurysm progression and generate structured clinical reports.
The software follows a human-in-the-loop approach, allowing clinicians to review and validate AI outputs.
Innovation
The software combines advanced AI-based segmentation with deterministic quality-control and geometrical analysis algorithms.
A key feature of the system is its ability to process both contrast-enhanced and non-contrast CT scans, enabling aortic assessment also in patients for whom contrast agent administration is not recommended.
