High fidelity fluid-structure interaction by radial basis functions mesh adaption of moving walls: a workflow applied to an aortic valve

Journal of Computational Science

Figure from “High fidelity fluid-structure interaction by radial basis functions mesh adaption of moving walls: a workflow applied to an aortic valve”

Question

How can moving walls be simulated with high fidelity using mesh morphing?

What the paper shows

A mesh morphing workflow keeps the same mesh while the walls move, blending between known key shapes over time. It was applied to the opening and closing of a polymeric prosthetic heart valve and compared with conventional remeshing.
